Tacchoan is one of the world's five major language families, native to Taccho. Proto-Tacchoan has been reconstructed.

Members

The Tacchoan branches on Taccho: Esselis in green, Rumesselis in purple, Kipoa in yellow, and Usy in a small separate yellow area. Red marks the neighbouring Herta-Olaic family, which is not a Tacchoan branch.

Tacchoan languages are divided into four branches:

• Esselis, the most widely spoken of the four, in the centre of the continent.
• Rumesselis, a relatively similar subfamily to the Esselis branch, spoken in the north of the continent.
• Kipoa, a subfamily spoken in the south-east of the continent, and in small areas of Lovvocia through colonial ties.
• Usy, the family's only single-language branch, spoken on the island of Usings; it stands apart from the other three branches while remaining within the family.

Distribution

Tacchoan languages were carried into smaller parts of Lovvocia during colonial expansion, particularly the central region adjoining Vetsia.
