Usage

Inline sense labels, placed at the very start of a definition line — the italic, parenthesised context/register/domain tags Wiktionary shows before a sense. Code-first, like the other Dictionary templates; up to seven labels, comma-joined in the order given.

Categorization. The vocabulary is curated from Wiktionary's own label set (see Module:Labels). A known label categorizes the page per language:

• grammatical — transitive, intransitive, ditransitive, ergative, reflexive, impersonal, auxiliary, modal, countable, uncountable, collective, singular only, plural only, comparable, not comparable, …
• register / usage — slang, colloquial, informal, formal, vulgar, derogatory, offensive, euphemistic, humorous, endearing, honorific, poetic, literary, technical, proscribed, nonstandard, dialectal, …
• temporal — archaic, dated, obsolete, historical, rare, uncommon, neologism
• word-formation — abbreviation, acronym, initialism, contraction, onomatopoeia, misspelling, eye dialect

Any unlisted label displays verbatim with no category — so domain tags (nautical, law, botany, medicine, music, …) and semantic qualifiers (figurative, literally, idiomatic, by extension, broadly, …) work immediately, and topical categorization can be wired up later once its scheme is settled. Shorthands: tr, intr, ditr, count, uncount, fig, colloq, derog, obs, arch, hum, euph.

Labels vs. the register field. is per sense (display + categories on one definition line); the register parameter of Lb is per word (searchable Lexemes metadata). Use both: for the visible label on each sense, register= for the whole-word register you want to query across languages.
