The name key carries a feature's own name — the label the map draws for it. Almost everything named takes a name=*: settlements, rivers, roads, regions, and notable buildings.

How to tag

Put the feature's primary local name in name=*. Additional names in other languages go in name:<lang>=* using Yezur's language codes (for example name:yas-ai for Airananwe). Where a name=* is written in the conscript, add a name:en as well: the vector and Bright surfaces label from the English name, so a feature without one renders unlabelled there.
